A Legal awareness program was organized by District Legal Service Authority in Coordination with Sikkim SLSA, Gangtok at the ICFAI University, Sikkim on 12th November 2019. The program was addressed by the District Judge Shri Prajwal Khatiwara. He interacted with the students and faculties and discussed the different awareness programs.
Events like essay competition, walkathon, marathon on different legal awareness themes like child labor, child abuse, constitutional and fundamental rights may be organized in coordination with the officials of DLSA. He also suggested that students can go for legal camps in remote areas for various awareness programs. He mentioned that students of the University should visit the court to witness the court proceedings and may also interact with lawyers and judges.
